North County Forum - San Diego County Promoting progressive causes, education and culture since 1997    We encourage people to participate in phone banks to defeat Prop 8 every Saturday from 10am to 2pm and every Tuesday from 6-9:15pm at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 2020 Chestnut Ave, Carlsbad (corner Monroe St, across from Carlsbad HS). We also encourage writing letters to the editor of the North County Times expressing your opposition to Prop 8. Letters must be 200 words or less and you must include your name, address and daytime phone # for confirmation. Send letters to letters@nctimes.com and opinion@nctimes.com. Also, do what you can to elect Robert Hamilton to the 49th Congressional District (replace Darrell Issa), Charles "Chuck" Lowery to the Oceanside City Council, and Olga Diaz to the Escondido City Council.
